Prekestolen (Pulpit Rock) is a famous tourist attraction in the municipality of Forsand in Rogaland, Norway. This majestic cliff formation rises 2000 feet above the Lysefjord. It sits on the north side of the fjord, opposite the Kjerag plateau, located on the south side.
The cliff was formed during the ice age, approximately 10,000 years ago, when the edges of the glacier reached the cliff. The water from the glacier froze in the crevices of the mountain and eventually broke off large, angular blocks, which were later carried away with the glacier. This is the cause of the angular shape of the plateau. Atop the cliff, there is an almost flat top of approximately 25 by 25 meters (82 ft × 82 ft).
Along the plateau there are deep cracks. Due to these cracks, the plateau will at some point fall down, but all the geological investigations have concluded that this will not happen in the foreseeable future.
“Throughout the previous day, I had been watching the changing weather, feeling that something was going to happen. Sleep did not come easy. I spent hours in anticipation of what might unfold in the field.
I hiked up a mountain path in the middle of the night and arrived at a cliff ledge 2000 feet above the majestic Lysefjord. I balanced my camera on the edge of the cliff and waited patiently. I knew the light would change quickly so I needed to be ready.
Just as the sun pierced the horizon an incredible glow illuminated the scene. The golden light gave the scene a really special mood. My heart raced as I pressed the shutter capturing the raw beauty of this natural wonder”.

Fujiflex Crystal Archive is a highly specialized and superior photographic material. Fujiflex is a silver halide based polyester that produces exceptionally high quality, high gloss photographic prints that contain vivid colors and remarkable archival properties.
Unlike inkjet printing, printing to Fujiflex Crystal Archive is a specialized process using Chromira LED exposure technology. Photographs are not printed to the Fujiflex polyester material, they are exposed into the silver halide base with red, green and blue LED globes. The exposed Fujiflex is then processed in photographic chemistry to produce archival Digital C type photographic prints that we feel show the true beauty of our photographs.
