International Color Awards – Winner Announcement

Winners for the 16th Annual International Color Awards were announced at a prestigious online Winners & Nominee Photoshow streamed live Saturday, April 29, 2023.

The Gala Ceremony was attended by industry leaders and the photography community from around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the world’s premier event for color photography. Top honors for Photographer of the Year went to:

Professional Photographer of the Year:
1st – Jeroen Nieuwhuis (Els Enfarinats, The Flowered Ones) – Netherlands
2nd – Lacey Criswell (Trophies) – USA
3rd – Carmen Troesser (Sisters) – USA

Amateur Photographer of the Year:
1st – Tharaka Bibule Witharana (Far Away, So Close) – Sri Lanka
2nd – Pinu Rahman (Lost Childhood) – Bangladesh
3rd – Renate Wasinger (Autumn) – Germany

The international Jury included captains of the industry from The National Gallery of Art, Washington DC; The J. These occasions are precious for getting to know new artists and understanding where the contemporary taste is leading, with themes that interest, fascinate and capture the collective gaze”.
