“The Norwegian Professional Photography Awards (Landskonkurransen) is the country’s most prestigious photography awards. The awards in the National Competition form the basis for selection of the national team in photography, participating in the World Photographic Cup – the World Cup in Photography.
I am truly honored to have been awarded 1st place in the Fine Art Category (“Åpen Klasse”), in Landskonkurransen 2022. Being ranked number three across all categories is incredibly humbling. I feel privileged to have my work showcased alongside such talented and creative artists. Congratulations to all the photographers and a huge thank you to the esteemed jury who have taken their time to deliberate over such a wide selection of images”.

“Inferno”
LANDSKONKURRANSEN 2022
The Norwegian National Photography Awards (Landskonkurransen) is the country’s most prestigious photography awards. Landskonkurransen is an annual competition accepting entries from all professional photographers and students / apprentices. The photographer with the highest total score is named Norwegian Photographer of the Year. The student / apprentice with the highest score is named Student / Apprentice of the Year. The picture with the highest score in each category becomes category winners. Gold, silver and bronze medals are also awarded in each category.

History
The national competition as we know it today took its form in the mid-80s, but the competition itself has its roots back to 1927. Then, the Norwegian Photographers’ National Association (which later became the Norwegian Photographer’s Association) organized its first annual Awards Competition, with one category and six participants. Since then, the competition has undergone several changes, both in name and form, and has grown considerably. Today, the National Competition is one of the country’s largest of its kind.

The Esteemed Jury
ARILD SØNSTRØD
Etter endt fotoutdannelse 1974 arbeidet han sammen med sin far Harry Sønstrød – Fotograf Sønstrød 1952. Overtok studioet i 1979 og driver i dag reklame og portrettstudio sammen med 3.generasjon fotograf Pia Sønstrød.
Arild Sønstrød har vunnet en rekke nasjonale og internasjonale priser og har bl.a. oppnådd Norges Fotografforbunds høyeste konkurranseutmerkelse – gull med krans. Ble den første Color Art Photo goldmaster i Europa 1991
Han har vært en flittig benyttet foredragsholder i Norge, Norden, Europa, USA og Østen og har representert Agfa, Fuji, Kodak, Broncolor og Hasselblad som foreleser for over 10 000 fotografer i nevnte land.
IRINA JOMIR
I’m a visual artist, published and awarded fine – art and portrait photographer based in Oslo, Norway.
My work has a stylised approach with a hint of fashion and timeless beauty. It focuses a lot around femininity and sense of serenity.
EIRIK HALVORSEN
Eirik Halvorsen er en bryllupsfotograf, kurs- og foredragsholder fra Stavanger. Med sine fargerike, artistiske portretter og historiefortellende tilnærming har han fotografert par og bryllup i nesten alle fylkene i Norge, 11 forskjellige land og 8 stater i USA. Hans stil og albumdesign er inspirert fra filmverdenen.
Eirik har holdt kurs og foredrag i inn- og utland, og er en av grunnleggerne av både Blikkfangerne og For Fotografer i tillegg til å drive sin egen internasjonale kursvirksomhet, The Photography Business Lounge.
DANA COLE
Dana Cole is a Beauty, Portrait and Product Photographer based in Oslo. As well as being a Z Creator ambassador with Nikon Europe. Originally from Texas, she moved to Norway in 2009 and has worked here since then. Dana is inspired by color, boldness and texture. Which you can see in much of her work. Since 2005, photography has been her career as well as her favorite hobby.
KAI JENSEN
Fotograf (1968) bosatt på Åneby i Nittedal. Leder i NN fra 2013 til 2020. Holder en rekke kurs og workshops i digital bildebehandling og fotografering, med spesialitet på Lightroom. Har utgitt boken ”Mitt Nordmarka” 2005, samt hatt en rekke bildeforedrag i inn og utland. Bildene er også publisert i medier, både i inn og utland. Premiert i flere konkurranser. Kåret til Norgesmester i Naturfoto i 2008. IFWP ”Picture of the year” 2006. Assosiert til Wild Wonders of Europe- prosjektet. Bildesalg gjennom Scanpix Creative. Naturfotograf med fokus på lys, form og farger.
ANE CATHRINE BUCK
Prisbelønt fotograf med base i Stavern. I 10 år har fotografering vært mitt fremste redskap for bildeskaping. Siden jeg kan huske har drømmen alltid vært å skape bilder, men redskapene har vært penn, pensel og papir, både som sivilarkitekt og senere illustratør. Til og med da jeg ved et tilfeldig innfall valgte å ta fotoutdannelse, var det fortsatt helt fjernt for meg at det var noe jeg skulle holde på med. Men i det jeg behersket kamera godt nok til at det føltes som resten av mine kunstverktøy var jeg hektet. Siden har jeg jobbet innen alle sjangre av faget og liker å jobbet bredt. Jeg har med stort utbytte deltatt på workshops i inn- og utland. Nå er prosjektet fremover å jobbe enda mer i en fusion mellom bildekunst og fotografi. Lys og farger er veldig viktig for meg, men størst av alt er lykken når jeg klarer å fange og formidle den utrolig vakre tilstedeværelsen til den eller de jeg fotograferer.
