“I decided on a new and different approach to portray the beauty of aerobatics, focusing on shape and form.
Like the thousands of others who were delighted and enthralled that night, I stood in silence, captivated by the spectacle of this elegant, graceful, and spectacular night act.
I knew I only had seconds before this magnificent visual magic was over. I used a wide-angle lens to reach out to as much of the night sky as possible. The composition was critical. I pressed the shutter and held my breath, as the aerobatic glider gracefully painted the night sky with it`s spectacular pyrotechnic display. The silent crowd watched, mesmerized.
I named the image “Chrysopelea” since the perfect organic shape of the light trails reminded me of the Chrysopelea snake soaring through the sky.
It is with great excitement that I share with you this very special piece.”
